Special Ski-Tour Event in

Somewhere during the months April/May I am going to make a long ski-tour in the North-west of Spitsbergen.
In September 2009 I heared that there is also a hot water source in this area. This was new to me. I know now
the exactly location of this source. It is not a hot and powerful geyser like in Iceland but it will be
interesting to visit. I heared that the water temperature is about 15-18°C, this is relative warm water for Spitsbergen.
The source is also open in wintertime and it should be visable from far away due to the vapour above this source.
The purple point is the place of my basecamp.
The light green line is the ski-tour to North-west Spitsbergen.
Beside the warm water source I will see as much as possible of this special mountain area. At many places steep mountains
rise up from this heavy glaciated area. I will start and end this ski-tour at my basecamp. This trip will keep me busy for
several weeks.
