March 31th 2012:The last 10 days some snowscooters has been visiting the sailingboat "The Noorderlicht" in the
(almost) frozen fjord: Tempelfjorden. Not many snowscooters drive totally over Tempelfjorden, but the ice should be thick enough for skiiers.
So I am gonna give it a try. I booked a flight for april 12th.
Making things ready for another long stay in the Spitsbergen mountains.
Sofar there is no fast sea-ice in Wijde-fjorden (in the Northern part of Spitsbergen). I will probable ski-up my sea-kayak to that fjord,
to make a very early sea-kayak tour in that fjord, combined with some ski-touring.
This will keep me busy for some weeks. It should be an awesome trip.
