Why does someone goes out on such complicated expeditions on Spitsbergen?
Why does someone carry a kayak up to Spitsbergen highest mountain during wintertime?
Why does someone ascend a glacier on Rollerski's?
What is the fun of staying so long in a cold arctic mountain area?
These questions, and all the other questions will be answered in my next 2 books:
1. Amazing Adventures on Spitsbergen
2. Living on Frozen Water
Amazing Adventures on Spitsbergen
I hope to start writing in December 2011. The first book will discribe the 2006-2007-2008 expeditions on Spitsbergen
(click on previous expeditions, on the left side of this page).
The first chapters will discribe how I came up with idea's and motivation to go out on these complicated
expeditions on Spitsbergen. It will take me back to Rondane National Park during August 2003 and June 2005 and
Jotunheimen National Park during March 2005. Both in the South of Norway and both with very exciting outdoor stories.
Living on Frozen Water
"The Living on Frozen Water" expedition will be discribed in the second book.
"the Living on Frozen Water" expedition
started in 2009 and will still be continued in 2012. The book will included a DVD with the most amazing events
during this expedition. Everything I did during this long expedition is filmed and/or photographed.
I saved all the best and amazing pictures/video's for the book, you won't find these pictures/video's on this website.
Not everything what did happen during the "Living on Frozen water" is placed on this website.
The Spitsbergen nature is very active. Many times I felt that I was living in a "thriller".
I am looking forwards to write this all down on paper. I am sure that, in some parts of this book, I will take the reader
back to an arctic reality thriller.
I won't start writing this book before "the Living on Frozen Water" expedition is ended, that could be in August 2012.
This expedition has reached then a lenght of 4 years.............. what a trip.......... and what an adventure....
